Chalkidiki has become the champion against foreign competitive tourist areas in the "Sun and Sea" category of the mass destination evaluation.

Chalkidiki takes the lead among tourists' preferences, even compared to highly popular destinations such as Mallorca, which gathers a general satisfaction index between January and July that reaches an average of 89.5%.

The above figures are derived from the August monthly statistical bulletin of the Institute of the Association of Hellenic Tourism Enterprises (INSETE), which was released a few days ago and which, among other things, records the quality index of mass destinations "Sun and Sea".

Satisfaction at high levels in July

In July, Chalkidiki gathers a high satisfaction rate of 88.2%. Of the competing destinations, after Chalkidiki, Marbella holds the highest position with 85.1%, followed by Istria with 84.9%. The general satisfaction index rose for Majorca to 83.2%, for Bodrum and Rimini to 82.2% respectively and for Antalya to 81.4%.

In the food-drink category, Chalkidiki is in first place with 88.6%. It is followed by Antalya with 86.2%, Mallorca and Bodrum with 83.1% respectively and Istria with 79.9%.

In the location criterion, Rimini is in first place with 94.1%, followed by Antalya with 89.8%, Mallorca and Marbella with 88.7% respectively, Istria was at 88.3%, Chalkidiki at 87 .2% and for Bodrum to 87.0%.

In terms of service, Chalkidiki is in first place with 92.7%, followed by Rimini with 91.0%, Marbella with 89.5%, Mallorca with 88.9%, Bodrum with 86.4% and Antalya with 86.3%. Istria comes in the last place with 83.5%.

In the room category, Chalkidiki gathers 90.4%, Rimini 87.3%, Marbella 86.6%, Antalya 84.3%, Mallorca with 83.0%, Bodrum 81.6%. In last place is Istria with 78.5%.
